TehMilkman, I agree with you on the Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon/Transcript. I also tried to use the shaking of the head argument, but to no avail. I thought putting it up for a vote would quickly solve the problem, but you can see what happened in WikiPolls/Archives. -- Tom

Both of you, Tehmilman and Tom, must be deaf. Turn the volume up really loud and you'll hear an "I". -CE5

OK. Milkman. I hate to disagree with oyu, but I do in this case. There is an "I." And, I wouldn't call that a shaking of the head. He swishes around to look to the other side. If you can find an instance where someone shakes or nods and there are the movement lines, maybe I'll reconsider. Also, H* does a lot of swishing around in this toon, f'rinstance to Pom Pom.
Now that that's over, I'd like to welcome you to Wiki. Even though you showed it to me in the first place. o_0

We're just going to have to have to agree to disagree, HoD and CE5. If you tried saying "Yeah. No" out loud yourself, you would hear that arbitrary 'I' you're hearing in the toon. Homestar pronounces "yeah" with two syllables, so it sounds like "yea-uh." You guys misinterpret this as an I. A lot of people pronounce the Yeah with two syllables. If you don't believe me, listen to the radio for the song "Yeah" by Usher feat. Lil John and Ludacris. The chorus goes like this: "Yea-uh, yea-uh, yea-uh; yea-uh, yea-uh, yea-yea-uh."
I think "Yeah. No." makes more sense and is funnier. That's how Homestar is funny. He says "Yeah" like an automatic response; he really doesn't think about what he's saying. Then he says No. I think the best solution is to put ant asterisk there and have a footnote saying "There is a dispute over whether this line is 'Yeah. No' or 'Yeah, I know.'
It's too bad I was not a member when that poll was conducted; if I were, then there would have been one more vote for the correct answer.
One day the Brothers Chaps will clarify this for us, and the Y-N's will finally be able to say "I told you so" to the Y-I-K's. There is no doubt in my mind it's "Yeah. No."
--TehMilkman
P.S. Keep this up, HoD_Qheldar, and I don't think we can be friends anymore. ;-)

who wants to be your friend anyway?

I know that was you, waddleski. OYU suck.

Though I hate to disagree with CE5, I must say that TehMilkman is right. I listened very closely with my very advanced ears and he is saying "Yeah. No." -da princess

It makes sense for him to say "Yeah, I know, is it?" because Homestar's always trying to make himself out to be really smart. So he would say "yeah, I know." when he's really not sure and then say "is it" to verify. -CE5

Right. We say the same thing for his just saying "yeah." --TehMilkman

Ok, he says "Yeah, I know." First of all, Homestar may be exceptionally dumb, but he's not dumb enough to say "Yeah, no, what?". Second of all, that doesn't even make any sense. So there. Ha. You lose.

Oh, well I guess you guys could just say "Well, the whole joke is that H*R is dumb enough to say all that stuff that doesn't make sense." To you I say, "Kudos. You just made my argument irrelivent and even slightly towards your side."

Wow, I guess I probably shouldn't have put that last paragraph in there. Oh well, too late now. Or is it? Yes, it is. So, in conclution, I have no idea what I'm talking about. Easter candy is good.

--wazup90210

Very well. Everyone is entitled to my opinion. --TehMilkman

Well said, Milky on the short essay above. It's definatly "Yeah, No," how could someone not realize this. -SephirothBadRel

Sorry for sounding stupid, but what was ironic on my projects page?
-The Brothers E

I think it was that two other users had just checked for spelling and grammar errors and missed the one that he found. But that's just my guess. -- Tom

Ah. Nevermind.
-The Brothers E

Oh yeah. Tom is essentially right. Jweb had just said "If you're going to check for spelling, at least do so more completely." But he had left "similer" in there.
And also... When are TBC going to update again?! We haven't seen anything sicne New Boots two Wednesdays ago. I am way ready for a new SB email. I'm getting impatient. --TehMilkman

Actually, now that I think of it, it really could be either one with the "yeah, no/yeah I know" deal. They're both funny. "Yeah, no." Is funny because it's like he just says "yeah" automatically and he's not really listening, but then he realizes what she said and switches it to "no". "Yeah, I know." is funny because even though he claims to know that crime is on the rise, he asks "is it?" So....I donno who the crap's side I'm on now. -da princess

Whoa its like you're a philosopher (sp?) figuring stuff out. Cool Beans. -SephirothBadReligion

Thanks. (I'm assuming you were talking to me. If not, well....there's many times where I'm stupid like that.) -da princess

Wow, this is a huge debate!! Y'all have way too much time on your hands. BTW, it's clearly "Yeah; no." 8-) -socetew

*twitches* I hate it when people say that. It's so dumb and ignorant. I hate to flame someone who's on my side. But "too much time" and "you have no life" are two cliches that are used by people who are themselves loser but like to claim coolness by dissing other losers. I'll get over it. No hard feelings.
So anyway, as if I jinxed it, there was finally a new SB Email today. It was kinda good. I'm trying to claim that it was based at least in part on "Pimp My Ride." There's that.
Your host, Teh milkman

Homestar isn't stupid enough to say "yes, no, what?". However, he is stupid enough to say "yeah, I know. Is it?" He's saying "yes" because based on the way the question was worded, the smarter answer seems to be yes. Then he just says "is it?" to verify. The "shaking" of the head is a double take, as done later in the cartoon by him and in the StrongBadEmail funny. This might explain why you think "I" is just a continuation of "Yeah" because if you shake your head while saying something, it sounds distorted. He Couldn't have sad "Yeah. No. Is it?" because he said it too quickly. All of you stop trying to sway peoples opinion by saying "'Yeah, I know' is stupid and illogical and the people who voted for that just didn't listen to the files I made." that gives no explanation as to why "Yeah. No. Is it?" is right and only makes people who know that "Yeah, I know. Is it?" is right feel stupid and beleive you without knowing why except for the fact that "'Yeah, I know' is stupid". -CE5
