By Gamingboy: Another fun fact: The floppy disk says "Ugh-Lympics", a reference to the upcoming Athens Games that have come under so much scrutiny, perhaps?

Also from Gamingboy: O, and those flip buttony thingies remind me of Create-A-Ride, a website on line when you can make a car that is "Pimped out".

I suppose you're talking about this site here: [Create-A-Ride] -EboMike

Strong Bad refers to The Paper as his man with the green and white stripes. Some people originally thought it was referring to The Green Rabbit Cheat from New Boots, but it's not. * Yeah I realized that the second time I watched it, so the above is completely false. Quasi_Real

I think the "did you just say doing" / "well you spelled it the same" is a reference to this site... -DeadGuyPerez

At the end of the email the back button is off sb's computer screen -EHSTEVE!

"Ugh-lympics" was an old computer game that featured olympic type sports along with a caveman theme... don't think it had much (if anything) to do with the real olympic games in Athens.
Green and whites stripes refers to the paper... the cheat was a green rabit with stripes and two butts... but i think those stripes were black. - Steve

I don't want to see "Gron Sad" as a character. -- JestersOfTheMoon

I think Ugh-Lympics can be a reference to both. Most of this email is based on the success of the new show "Pimp My Ride" on MTV. I don't want to see "Gron Sad" as a character. Ummm... OK. Gron Sad is just a name Strong Bad made up for Strong Sad. I think the "did you just say doing" / "well you spelled it the same" is a reference to this site... What? You mean the wiki? What do you mean? Yeah, I thought that his "man in the green and white stripes" was his inaccurate description of The Cheat in Powered by The Cheat at first, but Steve is right. He's talking about the paper, cueing him to come on down. The Rabbit Cheat had green stripes, but not white stripes. --Man of Milk Man

This email is a relief. I thought TBC were just going to stop at 100. -CE5

Sorry to burst your bubble, Milky, but people have been putting hydraulics in their undercarriages since the 1970s (possibly earlier, I'm not that old) and "ground effects" since the '80s. Aftermarket car mods really took off in the mid-90s and their popularity continues to increase, but every reference in this e-mail predates MTV's "Pimp My Ride" show by at least 10 years. -- Interruptor "holy crap, I just realized some of you weren't even alive in the 80s" Jones

Well, he got thousands of emails about cars. That's why he answered this one. Once he answers, or at least addresses, it in an email, the volume of email regarding that will decrease dramatically. Thats why he explained how he types with Boxing gloves on in (StrongBadEmail/fingers)) So like thousands of other people sent in stuff about his car. I wouldn't be annoyed. Think about it. Out of 3,000 some emails he gets a day, only 101 people and some change have ever seen their emails answered. Just keep emailing. Maybe one day... --Man of Milk Man

And IJ (since you added your comment after I started editing), I didn't say it wasn't around back then. 9_9 I just think it's really likely that it is based on that, because it's been --what-- MTV's most popular show recently or something? It's topical, man! I'm sure I'ma get some peeps who back me up. Consider the fact kyle used the term "pimped out" in the email itself. Come on. --Teh "Hey, I was alive for three of the 80s" Milkman

I will have to disagree. Homestar is never topical. The pop culture references are always from the 80s. Anyhoo, (did I just type that?) this email wasn't that great, but at least I now know they will keep doing them. The doing part was great. -- Dark Grapefruit

Well, judging from his grammar, I wouldn't doubt that Pimped-OUt Kyle watches MTV and his e-mail was prompted by "Pimp My Ride", but that doesn't mean that "most of the email is based" on the MTV show. Rather, I would think that both the e-mail and the MTV show are based on the same greater cultural phenomenon. As DG so astutely observed, H*R rarely has current pop-culture references. For example, we get Atari instead of XBox, "Night Court" instead of "American Idol", and Henry Rollins instead of Jessica Simpson. To my knowledge, we've yet to see a direct reference to a current celebrity, movie, or television show, and in fact this is part of the reason H*R has such universal appeal. -- Interruptor "Sociology is Fun!" Jones

Well spoken, IJ and DG. These things are true. OK, I'm done for now, then. Teh M.I.L.K. Man

No wait! I found one -- StrongBadEmail/spring cleaning, SB quotes Outkast's So Fresh So Clean song. Too awesome. --CoachZismyLuckyNumber

Hey, that's right. Very good. He's from Atlanta too. -- Tom

Meh, it was OK. THe "doing" part was pretty good, and the fact that he call SS "Gron Sad" is kinda funny. This one was just a relief to me that they still are doing emails. Alakazam9891

yeah, I was worried that 100 would be the end too - The Cheat Is Not Dead

I agree that this e-mail is disappointing in its content, especially after how infrequent the e-mails have been. I've got to back Milkman up on the fact that it's pretty hard to deny the influence of "Pimp My Ride" on this e-mail. I know H*R doesn't really do present pop culture references, but it doesn't mean they can never change. And yes, I was around for all but one of the 80's. The Karninator

This makes a grand total of twice (to my recollection) that Strong Bad has actually punched Homestar - and once that he's done it when we can see him (the other time was during his invisibility daydream). - RaisedByACupOfCoffee

What about the "first time here" video? Either a shove or a two-fisted punch. - "Douglas"

I'm impressed with SB's mirrored-handwriting.

Wow. That was mediocre. ~ Agent "Just don't care anymore" Seethroo

Well I thought it was SOOO awesome!!! Then again...any cartoon in which SB doesn't get hurt and doesn't refer to another girl is awesome to me, but...I still loved that email! -I'll Never Stop Reciting that Line About the Pie People Gathering

seen on its own I would have to agree with The Karninator and AgentSeethroo here. However, it does imply the return of the SBemail series for a while, and if the Brothers Chaps are up to their usual tricks I expect we'll see better ones in the near future (hopefully) - The Cheat Is "slightly dissatisfied but still" Not Dead

I have never seen Night Court. Who is Richard Moll?
-The Brothers E

Richard Moll played a bailiff named "Bull" on the show. He was huge, bald, lovable, very intimidating, but not too bright. - TW.

Try this link (http://timstvshowcase.com/nightcrt.html). As someone who knows about Night Court, HomeStar's refrence was pretty funny, but his delivery in the way he said "...staring Richard Moll" just made it even funnier! - "WilRic"

"How Strong Bad types with boxing gloves on" has never been answered. The fact is that he just isn't wearing boxing gloves. That's just his hands. He said so in his very first email. This email was pretty funny. It was funny because of the sudden punch. Classic. Also, if you didn't think this email was great, then I supspect that there won't be any "good" ones anymore, forever. And if that's the way it is, too bad. The stops between emails now is probably just to keep people waiting. It has little to do with the quality, in my opinion. -Duh!

He has never contradicted someone calling them boxing gloves. And in "some kinda robot" all he did was ask about the other guy's hands and face. Though that may imply that the gloves are his hands, there is no confirmation. -HoD_Qheldar

Man, you don't understand sarcasm, do you? He was being sarcastic by asking if that person took their face and hands off, not only saying that his boxing gloves are his hands, but calling that person stupid for not knowing it. -the lack of idiots here is made up by their immense stupidity

Ummmm....is it just me or dos everybody look wierd in this one? Oh, and the way Homestar mispells the words when he asks what Strong Bad is writing is a reference to sbemail Band Names.

I think it's just you, about the everybody looking weird. As for misspelling words, did you do that on purpose?

I just re-saw the Arcade short, and the easter egg said "$4000 - refinance my hat". I have no clue what refinance means, but do you think that when he did it, he got "upgrades" to his hat? ~Yaanu~

Refinance, to what I understand, does not have anything to do with upgrading. As far as I know, it has something to do with the "payments" for his hat. -CE5

Homestar calls the Night Court Feature the "coup de Grace" which means "Deathblow." -Aaron

Homestar's rendition of Night Court sounds a little more heroic than the real NC theme song. Of course, that's just me. -- RainbowFhqwhgads
