The greatest video game company in the world, Nintendo, is in servere danger! Because of the ignorance of today's youth, and the ignorance of corporations, the Gamecube is beginning to lose more and more support. In this day and age, such gimmicks as built-in DVD players and online play are replacing the stuff that makes video games great: Pure, simple fun.

Don't let it end this way, if Nintendo goes, the entire industry will suffer. More and more games these days are blood and guts. This trend has made "video game" a dirty word among some politicians. If Nintendo, one of the few companies who still hold true to the non-controversial meaning of video games, is forced to go 3rd party, then heavy restrictions on the sales of Video games could be put into act. It's just that simple: Nintendo is one of the few "pure" video game companies these days.

What you can do:

1. Write 3rd parties that support the Gamecube and GBA and tell them how much you love it.
1a. Among these third parties are:
Capcom
Sonic Team
Sega
EA Sports
Namco
Sega
and others!

2. Write 3rd parties that no longer support (Or have hinted at no longer supporting) the Gamecube and or GBA and ask them to support the gamecube, don't forget to point out that the Gamecube now outsells the X-box in worldwide numbers AND that the Gamecube is easy to develop for:
Among these are:
Sega's Sports Division (or ESPN Sports)
Rockstar Games
Factor 5
Criterion Games
DICE
Eidos Interactive
Acclaim
Atari
.... and others

3. Write to 3rd parties that have never supported the gamecube, again, say that the Gamecube has surpassed the X-box in worldwide sales AND that the Gamecube has been praised for being easy to develop for:
Among these are:
Frontier Developments
Bungie Software
and others

4. Whenever possible, only buy the Gamecube version of the product. Exceptions should only be made if the PC version is availible, since that will not raise sales for any system.

5. When the PSP comes out, DO NOT BUY IT. Instead, buy the Gameboy DS. Doing this will show Sony not to mess with the handheld market, thus insuring Nintendo's survival in at least one market.

6. Buy Nintendo T-shirts, folders, trading cards and other merchandise.

7. Do not buy any Microsoft game products. If you do, at least buy a PC version, not a X-box version.

8. Write letters to Microsoft pointing out that the X-box is LAST in sales worldwide, it probably won't do anything, but it will annoy the heck out of Bill Gates' secretaries.

9. Don't use X-box live, I'm sure there has to be some type of Boot-leg online engine out there that's just as good.

10. Post this list on every Message board and website you can find.

-----------------

Seriously, if you have to do all this crap just to keep Nintendo alive, it's probably not worth it.
Then again, though, I'm a X-Boxer.
Just my opinion.
- AlphaZodiac

I'm a rabid Xbox man. But I will still buy every ounce of crap nintendo thrusts in front of me until the day I die. Agent "Ooooh! a new gameboy!" Seethroo

Ahem I seriously used to have a N64, and I loved that thing, but sadly, nintendo is falling behing technologically,
I agree with you, video games aren't about fun anymore, video games have reached the 'fun limit', now the only thing to do is progress digitally in graphics, sound, and versatility.

Now lets read: ...such gimmicks as built-in DVD players and online play...

Face it, online play is the future, Nintendo was just too blind to see that, just like Sega, just like Betamax tapes...

More and more games these days are blood and guts.

Hmmm... sounds familiar, in fact, it sounds just like Resident Evil! Face it: Nintendo is far from 'Pure'.
With all due respect...
-AlphaZodiac

I agree that Nintendo needs support, but I also think they are making some stupid decisions, or at least some decisions that some people would consider stupid. These include pushing the GCN-GBA connectivity, not going online, and using cel shaded graphics. However, I will fight to the death to keep my beloved Nintendo games from becoming 3rd party. *shudders at thought of Zelda on Xbox* And supporting them doesn't mean you have to be a rabid Nintendo fanboy who never touches anything else. I'll buy PSP if it looks good, and I'll buy DS if it looks good.

I dont even know what the ds is! I own all three and to tell you the truth, when i walk into a Blockbuster to rent a video game i look in the xbox section for something cool, then i look in the ps2 section, then im like "crap i'll hafta get a gamecube game" cuz i own all three and the best is xbox. trust me. if you wont play xbox cuz your a little 4th grader whose mommy wont let you play halo then im sorry that your future in videogames sucks. go to your friends house thats what there for!
---Clever Dan

This whole page is a very sad waste of space. Also, the above paragraph contains some of the poorest grammar I've ever seen. Based on the mechanics of that sentence, I could infer that you are a 1st grader. -CE5

Allright seriously XBOX does suck it has destroyed the name of video games with it's blood and guts games. Whoever is the one who wrote those suggestions I'll try to do it as for the rest of you XBOX SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!-LimoZeener

I really don't want to take sides here, as each console has its own advantage. Look:
Nintendo Gamecube: Best 1st party games evar
Xbox: Most technologically enhanced
PS2: A wide variety of games, and online is free
Anyway, I like nintendo and wouldn't like to see it die, but I don't want to dis any console. -Kupo

This entire thingumybob should be enballeetinated, seriously, it should.
-AlphaZodiac

Kupo does indeed have a point; Nintendo does have the best 1st party games, but with PS2 online you get what you pay for, so in my opinion (which by the way is the only one that matters) the Microsoft Xbox is still better. And I would like to clear up the rumor that I a first grader, because I am not you insolent fools. ---Clever Dan
Oh by the way Zeeny, you need to definately play Halo more often.

The quality of a console is directly proportional to it's power, Xbox wins hands down, PS2 comes in a close second, just because it has a buttload of games, GC passes out before it even reaches the finish line 'Help!' it cries 'I've fallen and I have horrible graphics!' But Xbox and PS2 just laugh and say 'You should have gotten online play...' GC rolled over like the king of town at a Chinese buffet, having eaten all of general tso's chicken, general tso comes out yells 'You ate my chicken!' and stabs the King of town in the face, as GC dies of heatstroke... the end.
I'm serious, My uncles have GC and I played it, the graphics are... blah. the controller is... geometric. the games are decent, but no better that PS2 and Xbox.
Nintendo, one of the few companies who still hold true to the non-controversial meaning of video games
Oh, yes, go ahead, play the 'Innocence' card, I was playing MGS2:TTS on GC and solid snake got shot and BLED ALL OVER, yeah, sure, really PG.
-AlphaZodiac

Yo!!! I just got Spinx and the Cursed Mummy for Gamecube, and it is AWESOME!! I like it WAY MORE than both Zelda and Metroid. It's a first person game with money and items and puzzles and characters to talk to.. it's totally sweet. Also the world is much more compact than Zelda and Metroid, so you are having fun and doing stuff without having to sail in your boat or run around all over the place, doing nothing for hours on end. Also, there are great movies and everything. I love it, I love it, I love it!!! alright, take care --socetew
----

Ok, children. For the record, The gamecube has more processing power than the PS2, which in turn makes it run faster and smoother. The graphics are also slightly better.

In conclusion, the order of "wickedness" in consoles is as follows, from least wicked to most wicked: PS2, gamecube, Xbox. This is based on facts and the hardware's capabilities, not your 2nd grade opinions.

Agent "not in the 2nd grade" Seethroo
----

I like all systems but I have a gamecube and like its games.Still I sorta think that the X-box
games are a bit violent. Another Fan

AZ, no. Just no. The quality of a console has nothing to do with how fast it is or how good the graphics are. By that standard, all old systems, like Super Nintendo, would be horrible. But they're not. Also, the comment about non-controversial games is undoubtedly referring to the games Nintendo themselves produces. MGS is made by Konami.
--DG

If a game designer has no processing power to mess around with, the entire game creating process becomes restricting, like attempting to draw a masterpeice on a playing-card, the Xbox allows freedom to make effectively any game, it's like a HUGE bloody canvas, with a chocolate bar on the side.
MGS is made by Konami, with all due respect, so what? it's on the console, and that's all that matters.
Remember Resident Evil?
-AlphaZodiac

Gamecube is still better because it has better games and doesn't destroy the vidio games with all these bloody games. And whos the one who helped H*R out Nintendo did!-LimoZeener

Wow, what's a vidio game? I mean, I've played video games, but I've never seen a vidio game, is it German?
Anyway, no matter how great the game is, it's worthless if the graphics and controller aren't up to standard, SNES and NES's graphics were standard during thier time.
What's wrong with bloody games? Am I a bad person because I play bloody video games? Do you have something against free choice?

Okay guys you got me to go into hateful mode now. You have a gamecube because you are cheap. Look at the prices, everything Nintendo makes is cheaper than Xbox's or PS2's, especially games. Now if you're not in high school the Gamecube can be pretty cool. And for the guys that have a Gamecube and wish they had an Xbox or PS2 there are games like Resident Evil and MGS:Twin Snakes. Nintendo is not pure, Xbox is not pure, and PS2 is definatly not pure. Do you think these companies are doing this "because they want to provide entertainment and joy to people all over the world"? No, they just care about the money. I mean sure they wanna make games that appeal to people, but when it boils down to it, it's all just for money. HSR is one of the few remaining pure things. And I am glad to be a fan and follower of The Brothers Chaps because they can do some cool stuff and I respect them for that. I don't go around harrassing other users on Video Game boards telling them that they shouldn't watch Weebl and Bob [www.weebl.jolt.co.uk] or Eskimo Bob[www.eskimobob.net] and that they should come to HSR and buy everything they see. How 'bout that buster? I'm sorry it's just you caught me grumpy this morning.
--- Clever "The Grouch" Dan

Please, with all due respect, I don't have anything against GC, but when people come on blasting propeganda like 'Nintendo is one of the few pure game companies' it really pushes me to the edge.
-Alpha "No Bloody Spin Zone" Zodiac

amen,---Clever Dan

If Nintendo are doing so bad, why didn't they let microsoft buy them when they had the opportunity? The UK Nintendo magazine says they're doing fine. Just cos they didn't make as much money as they wanted last year, doesn't mean they're near ending. They're fine, they have loads of money, one of the big money rakers being Super Smash Bros Melee. I'll post the entire thing about it when I have time, but seriously, if they were doing as bad as you think, they'd have already left or been bought by another company like sony or microsoft. Ollie Raiden

Why are you guys even argueing? If one person likes one system better than the others, WHO CARES!!!! I mean it's not like ther sports teams or anything. But just future refernce, I think Nintendo is the best! YukeMage

and for that you will pay through the nose, hehe --Clever Dan
ps. actually my fav system, is the n64 but when it was out nothing, not even playstation, could compete with it

N64 Rules! The problem was the terrible controllers. That's why it was a good move to remake Zelda on the GC. A lot of M rated games came out for all three systems. That is why I'm arguing. The PS2 has very few E rated games that are on no other systems. The Friggin "N64 ruled but its controllers couldn't be used properly without three arms" Cheat

I am with you esp. about Nintendo DS vs.PsP. DS will kick psp butt worse than one can imagine!!!-Homestarball ZPS. The Nintendo DS is a new handheld System that is available for pre-order with Dual Screens hence the name DS It also has a touch screen input, voice recognization Wireless communication,3-D better than the N64 2 processors an ARM-7 and An ARM-9 and dual slots. Amazing huh!
