Has anyone else seen the "new" FAQ on the contact page? I don't know how new it is, but I'd never seen it before... They answer some good questions though, about new merchandise coming out, and the like. - HomsarOhio

yeah, saw it. cant wait for the dvd... -JamesGecko

Same here. It's gonna be great. I can't wait for those new figurines and that Talking Cheat plushie, either. Now I can plan my own capers with The Cheat! Bwahaha!

But doesn't anyone find it in the least bit strange that TBC didn't make a 2003 Decemberween 'toon? ...or is that just something I kind of overlooked? I found it quite strange. All they've been doing since the New Year is new SB Emails... WHICH NECCESARILY ISN'T A BAD THING! <cringes> I dunno... -Maz

I'm also disappointed about the lack of a Decemberween toon. But as you said, it's nice to have regular StrongBadEmails for a change. I'm excited, as I'm sure everyone is, about the upcoming 100th email. -- InterruptorJones

One thing though; what's with the DVD? I mean, I'm a little confused. Excuse me for sounding blasphemous, but why buy it, unless there's gonna be added features? If there will be then forget what I just said, but if not, isn't it just like paying to see the wbesite on a larger screen? Again, I might be wrong but I don't know. I'd probably buy it anyway :D- Josh

Dude, they even figured out how to stach an egg on the cd! i'm SURE theres going to be eggs in the dvd, even if its just on the menus. hmm. maybe they will have it so you can select certian objects at points in the dvd, sorta like a menu. just a guess. :-) -JamesGecko

Another thing: the dvd menu! thats gonna be so cool. it could have homestar standing there saying "Play!" "Special features!" "Games!" lol. -JamesGecko

What do they mean by a dvd? Are they going to sell it on the store so its like the actual website on dvd? or is it just something on the site, like the king of town dvd? I'm a little confused. -Arrohed Aria

I think it going to be a play-on-your-tv kind of dvd. And apparently it has all new cartoons on it since its taking them so long to make it. or maybe its even a full length movie. <drools>. I actuly burned most of the website onto a cd for a friend who can't access the official site. all the sb emails are only like 30 mb total, so i doubt that they would need a dvd if it was just going to have the website on it. -JamesGecko

Speaking of which, I wonder if there are any programs that could automatically download all of the content on a website and burn it onto a cd, possibly converting any and all links to point towards the other files on the cd. To find all the stuff, it could simply search the site with Google and search for 'the' (Google automatically cuts out 'the', so it gets all the stuff on the site) and download it all. It would be interesting to get the entire H*R site on cd. -War129

No, Google doesn't work that way. There's no way to get Google to list every single page on a particular site. Usually for stuff like this people use "spidering" software which basically goes through every page and follows every link. Unfortunately, all of the navigation on H*R.com is Flash-based, and to my knowledge there's no software available (yet) that can spider Flash navigation. Sorry to burst your bubble. However, it wouldn't be too difficult to make a program grab all of the StrongBadEmails, for example, because they all have uniform URLs. Making it playable in your DVD player would be another matter entirely, though. -- InterruptorJones

If you have Quicktime Pro (http://apple.com/quicktime) then you can export flash animations to just about any other format, such as avi or mpeg, and from ther it would be easy to burn onto a DVD. - TheBigKnife

Uh... When I tried it it pretty much found everything. Check the advanced search for search within a site, and generally there you can do the, .swf, .html, or just about anything else that would find most of the pages. Anyway, I was kinda skeptical about changing flash links too, but on a mainly .html site it could do something like this. -Warmaster129

i did it http://www.google.com/search?as_q=&num=10&hl=en&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&btnG=Google+Search&as_epq=&as_oq=&as_eq=&lr=&as_ft=i&as_filetype=&as_qdr=all&as_nlo=&as_nhi=&as_occt=any&as_dt=i&as_sitesearch=www.homestarrunner.com&safe=active
-JamesGecko

That would be cool. I'd buy it. -JamesGecko

I would guess that I'd buy it, if the price was right- Gamingboy (Bob Barker!)

I saw some pix of the dvd menu. its not like the main menus. its a menu where u select a picture instead of text, and whatnot. there will be some cool pix, a new toon, and some other stuff. and also, the StrongBadEmails are big enough that TBC will put them on 2 DVDs. I have my sources. don't question them. -Bleh!

I'm sorry but I must ask you what your sources are. I just don't believe you. -CE5

Hey, I don't know how long ago this was updated, but I found out on an interview with Mike of The Bros Chaps about 3 months ago that it's a DVD on the website, not one that they sell in stores.- Jack Selby

I think you're confused. Where did you see this interview? -CE5

I forget, but why would they sell something in stores? There making a crapload of money from the store anyway. Jack Selby

[*** Inappropriate posts KO'd by InterruptorJones ***]

And also CE5, it's not like you have any sources about anything from the DVD Jack Selby

Actually, Jack, they say they are trying to put a DVD out and that it will become available in 2004. Check the {http://www.homestarrunner.com/faq.html FAQ] section. And both of you, CE5 and JAck Selby, there was no need to be rude about this. I want you to go to a corner and (THINK)? about this for a while.
-The Brothers E

Totally. I'm so excited about it, though it is SO hard to get the merchandise as i'm in Australia. And I kinda don't have a DVD. But I'll buy it anyway, I'll just go to my friends house 2 watch it. - M.J

Just because it say's 'coming out' doesn't mean it is coming out in stores. It doesn't say that. And also, I REALLY remember seing an interview that say's it's on the website. That doesn't exactly mean that I like it being on the website, It just is. You guy's can try to look for the interview if you want. Jack Selby

Hey, moron, they have recently made it so independent music/video stores can release H*R related merchandise. This could be in preparation for the DVD. -CE5

FROM THE INTERVIEW AT [TASTES LIKE CHICKEN:] {Warning: This interview contains some foul language.}
Matt: "Yeah. Okay, it’s on a smaller screen, yes. And we’re working on that. We’re trying to make a DVD of all of the stuff; so, if it’s your preference to watch it on a television screen, then we’ll provide that."
