Mellow Mushroom is fairly lame, and the last couple H*R cartoons have been pretty good. I don't think Mellow Mushroom has taken away from H*R at all. --JoeyDay

Are they actually working on this thing? Are they just... helping someother guy? This can't be their work. And it's done with the brush tool and doesn't look to hard to animate. If they are actually the masters of this site, then I hope that they trash it soon.- someguy

Mellow Mushroom?

What is Mellow Mushroom based on anyway? Because it isn't like [H*R.com]. TBC wouldn't bother making such a bad site. Is it some sort of company because it wouldn't be a site that I would go to all the time.

If you actually looked at the site you'd see that Mellow Mushroom is a pizzaria. I don't know what the extent of TBC's involvement is, but if they're getting paid to do it, then it means they're not in control of the content; they have to answer to whomever is paying them, which means that they have to make compromises. Having done freelance web design (though not Flash) in the past, I know that dealing with clients who don't know anything about what actually makes a good web site (which is all clients) is less fun that being run over by a van full of Children, and the site you come up with is almost never optimal. That's what I blame for the crappiness of the Mellow Mushroom site. -- InterruptorJones

I didn't like the mellow mushroom site, and I don't think it would EVER take anything away from H*R except the time the Chaps Brothers are taking to work on mellow mushroom instead of H*R. What's the deal with the Mel's voice? It's EXACTLY the same as Strongbad's! The only realy difference is that he has a sort of different accent. - M.J

I've heard that Mike actually does the voices for Mellow Mushroom. Not sure where I found it though... but I do know for sure that Mellow Mushroom is a pizza chain in the South. I don't think Mellow Mushroom has really been updated, as Mike & Matt don't need the freelance money now. - "Douglas"

I think that that cartoon was funny. "You can stand there all you want, Dude, it's not gonna happen." "Did you try a flashlight?" What??!" "Just kidding." "Hey, there's my jarts!(sic) Want to play some jarts, Mel?" It is pretty weird, though. It seems to be influenced by homestarrunner.com, but you never know. When you view the Wizard's character's page, the title is "Not THE Wizard, just wizard". I thought that was based on the fact that many characters on H*R have to be called with "The" in front of their name. Also, in the characters page, a reference to melonade is made. I live in Georgia and I've never heard of Mellow Mushroom. I don't think it's real. -CE5

You know what really sucks? Living in australia and hearing all of you going on about "Oh yeah, I saw this resturant and went to that." and I'm like what the heck are they talking about??
