I just wanted to know; it would be awesome to own a Wiki.
Thanks,
Pomx2
Well, first you need some sort of theme. Most Wikis have a certain theme -- this one is H*R, some are about particular bands or movies or software. Once you've got that figured out, you need to find a space to host it. Unless you know someone really nice who runs a server, you'll probably end up paying for this space. Most free hosting scenarios either don't have the software required for a Wiki or don't provide ample space or bandwidth. Then you need to install Wiki software. There are lots of Wiki packages, some of which are very complex and some of which are simpler. Which one you choose will depend on what features you want and whether the your host has the software that it requires. Then you install the Wiki software, which is different for each package.
As you can see, it's not a terribly simple process, unfortunately. The best source for information about Wikis is
Wikipedia:Wiki.

One thing you need to ask yourself is if it is a large enough topic to have a wiki. Also, ask yourself if the topic already has a wiki.-

Cool, thanks. =) ~ Pomx2
I think Interruptor Jones comes home from school every day and goes directly to his room to study. -

I don't get it,
FireBird. What do you mean? --
Tom
First of all, that was a typo. Second, I mean he is to smart. Not in a bad way, not in a good way. -
FireBird (thats right-BIRD)
Well, actually, I'm in college, so I kinda live at school. So really I just walk back across campus and I'm home. But I usually don't study until I absolutely can't put it off any longer. I do not recommend this. --
