=== Easter Eggs === *After The Paper comes down, click on "Poor Guy" to see a letter from Strong Bad to PomPom's parents. **The letter reads: ::Dear General and Fraulein Pom Pom, ::it is with a heavy heart that i inform you that your son recently exploded in a big fiery ball that was visible from space. i would also like to add, that in no way did he beat any of the everloving snot out of me. ::Sequentially, ::Strong Bad *After The Paper comes down, click on "e-mailed" to see an e-mail poker game between Bubs and Strong Bad. === Fun Facts === *The letter that Strong Bad writes to Pom Pom's parents, and it's background music, are references to a scene in the Coen Brothers Film 'Raising Arizona' when Nicholas Cage's character H.I. writes a letter. *Actually, it was a reference to Abe Lincoln's letter to Mrs. Bixby in "Saving Private Ryan". My theory is definantly correct. **Can either of these theories be backed up? I'm sure there are lots of movies that have letters being written to family members about fallen soldiers. How do each of you know that it was exactly the movie you mention? *The music from the letter Strong Bad writes to Pom Pom's parents is from 2 years , when the Cinder Block and the Stop Sign are breaking up. *In the letter to PomPom's parents, The Brothers Chaps did not use the modified Ahnberg Hand Q. *Coach Z and Homestar attempting to determine a top-level domain name may be a reference to First Time Here?, where Homestar can't remember that the website is "homestarrunner.com," not "homestarrunner.net." *Strong Bad is using the BMW Lighter in his attempt to ignite PomPom. **Before his first lunge at PomPom, when Strong Bad says "Lets get this settled once and for all," the letters on the BMW Lighter are backwards. it looks like the lighter says 'WMB'. *In the poker game (a reference to the opening of the email), Strong Bad has two Abdi's and a Viklas! card, which are from e-mails some kinda robot and little questions respectively. Bubs has a Monkey D card from crazy cartoon. The picture of Monkey D is from the Strong Bad Emails cheat talk, vacation and different town. The picture of Viklas is the dancing Swedish flag, first seen as an Easter egg in little questions. **Does this mean that Monkey D and Monkeydude (aka Josh) might be the same person? ***Doubtful, since Monkey D cameos in cheat talk & vacation predate Monkeydude/Josh's e-mail, crazy cartoon. Chalk it up to the Bros. Chaps being clever with their longtime fans! *When PomPom beats up Strong Bad, you can hear sound effects from Super Mario Brothers. The "Combo" sign is also a parody of fighting games. (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, etc.) *The blindfold Strong Bad puts on has the design of an old Japanese flag. It is referring to the Theme Song Video, where PomPom himself wore it as a headband. *By the letter, it seems that PomPom is German. Fraulein is German for Miss. That means that PomPom's parents are not married. **But we know he's from the Isle of Pom, and we don't know what the words "Fraulein" and "General" mean there (and who knows what they sound like when bubbled!). Or Fraulein Pom Pom might be his sister. Or Strong Bad might be improvising here. **Note that Fraulein is spelled wrong: It should be Fräulein - note the umlaut over the 'a'. **Actually, I take German, and Fraulein does not have an umlaut in it. ***You might want to see if you can get your tuition back, because it most certainly does. See http://dict.leo.org/?p=1ZRX..&search=fraeulein **Note also that Strong Bad said "your son", meaning they both must be his parents. The poms could speak any existent language (and maybe some non-existent ones), so Fraulein could mean anything. It has already been demonstrated that Strong Bad knows about umlauts, in Haircut. *When Strong Bad writes the letter, he writes "General and Fraulein pom pom", but, according to a video in the museum, PomPom's species is pom. "PomPom", therefore, might be his family name. *Strong Bad makes two references to [zeppelins] when talking to PomPom: He says "Hindenburg", which refers to the [Hindenburg disaster] and "[Led Zeppelin]". * For someone who always corrects spelling and grammar, Strong Bad failed to capitalise the 'i' when starting the new sentence "space. i would also" etc. Whatever happened to capitalization? It used to be so cooool! **The font that the letter was written in (as well as the font used in Teen Girl Squad) does not have a capital I. The I looks just like a lowercase i. To see this, watch Teen Girl Squad carefully or type in a capital I in the Strong Lib after. Also, in Dragon, when Strong Bad writes "Trogdor the Burninator", the "i" is uncapitalized, even though the other letters are: "TROGDOR THE BURNiNATOR" **Strong bad could easily make capitalization cool again if he just used a lowercase "l" instead of that uppercase I. it works - and the font is Ahnberg Hand, if you dont know already! - LarryPat? *The letters on the Monkeydude card reads "I Love Strong Band". **Actually, they say "stong bad". See Monkey D- Piscez ***Acutally, you're both kind of right. It says "Stong Band". The best way to see it is to pause and zoom in on the swf. |
