John's life was going great. He had 3 girlfriends, a nice car, and everybody treated him with respect. That all stopped one day when The King of Town caught him smoking what is believed to be marijuana. The King of Town blackmailed him with this informaiton so instead of installing a plumbing system, He just you-know-whats on the lawn and the Poopsmith shovels it. He was forced to take a vow of silence so no one could find out why he was working for the king. Or, at least, that's what everyone thinks...

What really happened was that he witnessed The Kot imprisoning The Ungriats, and if he told anyone about it, they would be freed. Therefore, The Kot had him take a vow of silence and forced him to become a Poopsmith.
