- Kevin DuBrow is a member of the metal band Quiet Riot
- "Typing Tutor" was a computer game whose purpose was, unsurprisingly, to teach people how to type. The "arcade Typing Tutor" in the email doesn't even have a keyboard; it looks more like a Space Invaders clone but with letters instead of aliens.
- The name of the place Chris is from is Ann Arbor. At the end of the e-mail, Strong Bad says "And now, the get up noise" which is a reference to the band who made Anne Arbour, The Get-Up Kids. So in other words, Chris is from Ann Arbor, Strong Bad makes reference to band who plays Anne Arbour.
