- Some of the commands Homestar tries are references. Some are more obvious than others:
- 'meathead?' - This is probably refering to a catch phrase from the sitcom 'All in the Family' in which 'meathead' was a common insult.
- 'stratego' - Stratego is a board game.
- 'open sesame' - Famous words from the tale 'Ali Baba and the Forty Theives'.
- 'de la soul' - De La Soul is actually a fairly popular rap group. They are also one of the only truly great rap groups left on earth. (Sad, i know. I blame MTV.} You can check them out at http://www.spitkickers.com.
- '3-D Movie' could be a reference to the very fun, but overlooked PC game, Microsoft 3-D Movie Maker.
- When you adjust the contrast while Homestar is at the computer, his reflection isn't affected.
- In case you didn't notice, the blue screen says:
FLAGRANT SYSTEM ERROR
The system is down. I dunno know what you did, moron, but you sure screwed everything up, moron.
- Homestar says Del Taco right before the camera cuts to Strong Bad on the phone. [Del Taco] is a fast food Mexican restaurant chain.
- Strong Bad is talking to a potential customer about 'elephant legs'. Apparently he plans to sell Strong Sad's legs on the black market, or something. Or have him assasinated; See StrongBadEmail/fingers/EasterEggs.
- When old-timey strong bad responds to the guy in the easter egg, he calls him a "carpet bagger." A carpet bagger is actually a post civil war term for a northerner moving to the south after the war to get rich or gain power.
