1.Introduction

1a.What is HomestarRunner.com?
This site is a fun place to visit for H*R(Homestar Runner) fans. homestarrunner.com is a site mostly containg flash cartoons about Homestar Runner. Homestar Runner is a white armless thing with an underbite and a beadnie cap. He always wears a red shirt with a star on it. The catoons mostly star either him or his arch rival (whom he doesn't know is his arch rival) Strong Bad, who is a short man with a wrestling mask for a face and boxing gloves for hands.
1b.Who created HomestarRunner.com?
Homestar Runner was created by a man named Mike Chapman with his friend, Craig Zobell. At that time, it was just a storybook. Craig helped for some of the earlier cartoons, but it is not known of his involvement in current cartoons. Matt Chapman, Mikes little brother, does the voices for most of the characters, except for the only female character, Marzipan, who is voiced by Missy Palmer, Mike's girlfriend.
1c.Why was HomestarRunner.com created?
Homestar Runner was originally a story book. It was made out of pure boredom and to make fun of the children's books they saw at the local mall. They made 10-15 copies and handed them out to their friends. After that pretty much nothing happened. Then, about 3 1/2 years later, Mike was learning how to make cartoons on his computer using a program called Macromedia Flash and had his little brother do voices. He used Homestar Runner as a theme to make practice cartoons. He realized how good these were, so he and Matt made a whole website around homestarrunner.com.
1d.How did HomstarRunner?.com become so famous?
Homestar Runner.com has no advertisements. It doesn't have any ads for itself on TV, on Radio, or anywhere. Originally, it was just for The Brothers Chaps, (A popular name for Mike and Matt Chapman) their dad, and the aformentioned friends. From those few individuals, it spread by word of mouth. If you found out about it via a friend telling you about it, you are a the last link in a chain starting with one of The friends of Matt Chapman. Homestarrunner.com has become so popular, though, that it has many fansites not too different from this one. The way some people found out is by a going to a popular site and typing in "website of the day" or a phrase used in Homestarrunner.com eg: "morning routine", "office dullard", and others.
